In 1989, Del Shannon released 11 country tracks on a cassette-only format.
These tracks included four sides from his Warner Brothers singles (Stranger On The Run, Beautiful Body, In My Arms Again, and You Can't Forgive Me), along with seven other previously unreleased tracks from the 1983 - 1985 sessions in Nashville ("You Still Live Here", "She's Always On My Mind", "Little By Little", "Nobody's Business", "Part Time Lover", "Broken Down Angel", and "Miss You Like I do").
Of the seven unreleased tracks, only two have since surfaced: "Nobody's Business" as a 1991 B-side, and "Broken Down Angel" on the Raven Records CD Anthology.
This cassette of 11 country numbers, titled simply, "The Nashville Sessions," was offered exclusively to members of Del Shannon's fan club and has yet to see a commercial release. A 12th track, "I Go To Pieces", also exists and was professionally recorded, though it never made the cassette release. The first set of tracks were recorded by Del Shannon and the Wolves, the second set was produced by Paul Worley, later of The Dixie Chicks fame. It is hoped that someday a label will release these tracks, as the original contract with Warner Brothers was a 2-single deal, and they never opted for an album or any further singles, though there were plenty 'in the can.'
